This year Duke Bridge, a student group and online platform, is partnering with The Chronicle to create “Bridging the Gap,” a podcast on the experiences of Duke’s diverse students of color.
“The Bridge is an online platform for all women of color to share their personal narrative through different forms of creative expression. This online community bridges women of color through cross-cultural and cross-campus collaborations that celebrates their identities and allows them to reclaim agency over their narrative through creative expression.”—About the Bridge
This is a commentary on race, gender, and marginalization at Duke and beyond. “Bridging the Gap” aims to speak with Duke’s diverse student body and discuss their experiences navigating identity, discrimination, tokenism, and more at a predominantly white institution.
