A member of heralded experimental pop trio Son Lux, Rafiq Bhatia — a Raleigh native and the son of Muslim immigrant parents — joins Duke Music professor Anthony Kelley at The Pinhook for a discussion of his new multidisciplinary project, Breaking English, which blends avant-jazz, soul, strings, electronics, and visual projections to create an enveloping piece of musical cinema.
