The Pinhook is a warm and welcoming downtown bar and live music venue, named for a nearby rough-and-tumble settlement that predated the City of Durham. A community space with a capacity of 250 on the ground floor of a late-19th century building, the Pinhook has an outdoor patio, gender-neutral accessible restrooms, and limited but comfortable seating. Dinner is available just upstairs at Pie Pushers pizza, or at several restaurants within a three-minute walk, and patrons are welcome to bring food to the venue. Duke Performances hosts listening sessions and small-scale concerts at the Pinhook.
