Applications are now being accepted for 2023-24 Duke Arts Studio projects through Friday, October 6, 2023.
Duke Arts Studio offers creative and professional support for undergraduate student projects in the fields of arts, entertainment and media. Duke students from any department with a creative project in early or mid-stages can apply to be paired with an industry alum or community member in a related field. Students with projects in final or finished stages are not eligible to apply. The 12-15 mentees will form a cohort that will meet for monthly meals and professional practices seminars. Each mentee/mentor pair will create their own contract and agree upon their meeting schedule. Duke Arts Studio will organize a presentation event in the Spring to showcase the finished projects.
Duke Arts Studio was originally StudioDuke, a joint effort of Duke Arts, Duke’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative, Duke Entertainment, Media & Arts Network (DEMAN) and Duke Alumni Association. Duke Arts Studio is managed in collaboration with the Duke Entertainment, Media & Arts Network (DEMAN).
The 2022-23 student cohort developed projects that included podcasts, creative writing, theater, film, visual arts and more. Learn more about these projects here.
