Featuring the work of 20 local North Carolina artists and craftspeople, the Art Sale and Exhibit has a variety of work for purchase including clothing, photography, and ceramics. As with all Arts & Health at Duke exhibits, the artists choose to donate part of the proceeds back to the Duke program, which goes to support bedside art kit deliveries and live music at the hospital.

Horse & Buggy Press and Friends houses Horse & Buggy Press, a graphic design, letterpress printing, and book production studio, as well as a craft and art gallery. Here visitors will find museum-quality framed artworks, pottery, glass, jewelry, fiber art, small-scale sculptures, and more. The store also features a bookstall filled with a wide array of artist monographs, exhibit catalogues, and small press literary and art books you wouldn’t find in a typical bookstore.

Owned by Horse & Buggy Press and Friends, PS 118 Gallery is located in downtown Durham and always features two curated exhibits by artists and craftspeople from across the Southeast. Currently, “New Works / New Blood” and “Trailer Park” are on view at the gallery, spotlighting a variety of artwork including painting, jewelry, collage, engravings, and more. PS 118 Gallery also has a large array of craft-based objects and book publications in rotation to complement the main exhibitions.

Located on the Five Points Plaza in downtown Durham, 5 Points Gallery features original, contemporary art by local artists. The gallery’s offerings include painting, ceramics, fused glass, sculpture, photography, textiles, and mixed-media artworks. Gift cards are also available for purchase. Their fall exhibition, “Artery on the Streetery,” will last until the end of December 2020.

Part of the Golden Belt Arts program, the Warehouse Studios are home to 25 individual studio artists as well as the Golden Belt Warehouse Artists gallery. These studios are home to a wide variety of styles and mediums, including paint, jewelry, fashion design, photography, and digital arts. Currently, those interested in purchasing works from the artists of Golden Belt Arts can email them individually to shop by appointment.

Their offerings span paper, fabric, and home goods, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and even classes for those looking to learn how to make their own holiday gifts.
