Duke Arts is excited to announce Trajectories, a multi-media exhibition by Duke Arts Administration Fellow, Maya Ghanem that will begin in mid-May. Alongside their work with the Duke Arts Engagement and Marketing & Communications team, Maya has been developing this personal project as a part of their fellowship. The exhibition will debut at Queen Street Magic Boat, a vibrant hub for community art.
Trajectories, is a multi-media exhibition of make-up, photography, and jewelry. This project envisions personal and structural trajectories—society’s potential for growth and introspection—without the shackles of oppression. What paths would we have taken without colonial restrictions? What would we have explored? What mistakes would we have learned from? How would we understand our stories and our concept of time? Trajectories will open in mid-May in collaboration with Queen Street Magic Boat, a surrealist hub for building and sustaining visionary community connections through water, the arts, and wild imagination. Having recently concluded Queen Boat’s inaugural public exhibit, Death Planted a Garden, Queen Boat is thrilled to integrate mixed-use art, music, and practice space in this collaboration.
