The Marcella and Gregg S. Hymowitz Dance Cube projects up and out from the center of the building—is a truly stunning space, with metal shades over its floor-to-ceiling windows that are exactly positioned to block out the sun in the hottest weeks of the year. It is a dedicated dance studio and performance space primarily used by the Duke Dance Program. Its features include: a fully sprung floor finished with a vinyl “marley” surface, dance mirrors and barres, an baby grand piano, theater-style lighting grid, audio and projection capabilities, soundproofing, floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over Campus Drive and the Nasher Art Museum.
