Jocelyn Castro is an administrative professional with experience in higher education and law. She currently serves as Administrative Assistant to Deborah F. Rutter, Vice Provost for the Arts. Prior to joining Duke Arts in June 2024, Jocelyn supported to three successive University Librarians and Vice Provosts for Library Affairs at Duke Libraries.

She began her career in Chicago as a paralegal in immigration and environmental law. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social justice from Roosevelt University.

Jocelyn and her family moved from the NW suburbs of Chicago to Mebane, NC in 2021.
