Jeffrey Broms Duke Arts Marketing Assistant

Jeffrey Broms (‘27) is originally from the Chicago area and studies physics and music at Duke University. With a background in classical performance, Jeffrey plays principal double bass in the Duke Symphony Orchestra, for which he also serves as vice president and treasurer. His work in the arts includes engagements with the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where he supported educational programming in classical music and the National Symphony Orchestra. 


On campus, Jeffrey is a fellow in arts policy under the Sanford School of Public Policy’s Hart Leadership Program. He works administratively with Duke Arts and contributed to the development of the Duke Arts Fellows program to enrich arts education in the Durham Public Schools. Additionally, Jeffrey is an editor at the Duke Chronicle, serves on the Duke Libraries Undergraduate Advisory Board, and plays bridge with the Duke Bridge and Mathematics Association.
