MONK@100:
Info to Know

MONK@100

A 10 day celebration of the NC-born jazz icon Thelonious Monk. The festival will be performed entirely at Durham Fruit & Produce in downtown Durham. With the exception of Sunday gospel, only compositions by Thelonious Monk will be performed at the festival. MONK@100 will prominently feature several pieces of visual art commissioned for the festival from Raleigh artist André Leon Gray.

MONK@100 will be staged at Durham Fruit & Produce, a 15,000 square foot warehouse space in downtown Durham, located at 305 S. Dillard St. (at Ramseur St.). The venue has recently undergone renovation and is now climate controlled, fully accessible, and equipped with restrooms sufficient to accommodate large events at the space.
