As part of Urban Bush Women‘s Fall 2020 virtual residency with Duke Performances, local dancers and movement artists, choreographers, community workers, and educators are invited to join Urban Bush Women’s BOLD (Builders, Organizers, & Leaders through Dance) facilitators for a virtual public workshop, “Building Trust Through Process.” Through trust building exercises, participants will learn to surrender and stay true to what is happening in the moment. Participants delve into movement conversations and theatrical play that require active listening and speaking with all of the senses. This workshop will call participants to bring their thoughts and creativity into action. It is useful in community building and employing art making as a means to tackle challenging conversation.
