Sunday Service: Imani Winds at NorthStar Church of the Arts

Imani Winds, the GRAMMY-nominated, NY-based wind quintet renowned for its virtuosity and record of commissioning bold new works by composers of color, leads a “Sunday Service” at NorthStar Church of the Arts in downtown Durham. On the heels of their Saturday, November 16 performance of french hornist and composer Jeff Scott’s Passion for Bach and Coltrane, the quintet will give a lecture/demonstration about the musical and cultural conversations at work in the piece — bridging classical and jazz, sacred and secular.

This event is free to the public, but space is limited. PLEASE RSVP HERE.
