Community Workshop: Open to all – no Duke affiliation required!
A hands-on workshop where you will learn how to screen print a unique, 2-color, voting advocacy poster from start-to-finish. Along with basic screen printing instruction & technique, Matthew Tauch will lead the class through a method for creating a pair of 9.5 x 12.5 screen prints in two color variants, using a single screen and a single sheet of paper — produce twice as many posters in half the time with half the work!! Students will leave with several copies of hand-printed voting-themed posters, ready to hang around campus or anywhere else! This course is a prerequisite for using the space; after the workshop everyone who attends the class will be on the “approved printers” list and can use the Duke Annex Print Studio at will.
A Duke Votes volunteer will be present at the workshop to assist with voter registration and answer questions about the upcoming election!
