Amelia Meath, Molly Erin Sarlé, and Alexandra Sauser-Monnig interlace harmonies to produce their enchanting brand of indie folk magic that is both intimate and sprawling. As Mountain Man, the trio’s distinctive sound features the accompaniment of delicately strummed acoustic guitars that invoke simpler times. Mountain Man’s critically acclaimed 2010 debut, Made the Harbor, was followed up by the equally sublime Magic Ship, in 2018. During the years in between, and the year since, Meath created GRAMMY-nominated electronic pop duo Sylvan Esso with Nick Sanborn, Sarlé crafted a brilliant solo effort, Karaoke Angel, from her cliffside trailer in Big Sur, and Sauser-Monnig skillfully examined a relationship in twilight with the album Dawnbreaker under the Daughter of Swords moniker. Back together, North Carolina’s folk luminaries embrace everyday life with an unmissable trilogy of unique performances.
Mountain Man, in collaboration with visual artist Nathaniel Russell, will create three distinct experiences as part of their COSMIC PROM: Beneath the Stars, Under the Canopy, and Below the Sea. As we zoom in from above, the space will transform each night into a unique and immersive environment in which audiences and Mountain Man will embrace spontaneity, imagination, and wonder. The band will explore the vast expanses of their collective catalog and enlist special guests each night to help unlock the potential for magic.
