Due to the forecast for winter weather, Duke University and Duke University Health System will activate the severe weather and emergency conditions policy from noon Wednesday through noon Thursday. In-person classes between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday will be canceled. If instructors are able to provide sufficient notice to students, they may transition their in-person classes during that time to an online format, but students should not be penalized if unable to attend. Duke Arts Creative Arts Grants are provided to help defray project expenses of up to $500 for Trinity and Pratt students enrolled in faculty-supervised Independent Study courses or full-credit private instruction in the creative arts (e.g., Art & Visual Studies, Dance, Literature, Music, Theater Studies).
The Benenson Awards in the Arts provide funding for fees, travel and other educational expenses for arts-centered projects proposed by Duke University admitted undergraduate students, including graduating seniors.
