Get support with an in-process creative project with Duke Arts Studio, a program that pairs Duke undergraduate students with industry mentors who can help bring selected projects to fruition.
Duke Arts Studio offers creative, professional mentorship for undergraduate student projects in the fields of arts, entertainment, and media. Duke students from any department, any major with a creative project in the early or mid-stages can apply to be paired with a creative industry alum or Durham-based professional in an arts/media field.
This program supports students at the early or beginning stages of a project who can articulate a clear set of goals and timeline for the work’s development. The mentees will form a cohort that meets for monthly meals and professional practices seminars. Each mentee/mentor pair will create their own sets of goals and meeting schedule. (Typical time commitment is 10hrs/month including cohort meetings.) At the end of the spring semester, the cohort will make a public presentation of their projects’ progress.
