Application Open for #PPGArtists Public Studio Residency Summer 2020

A laboratory for the arts, the Power Plant Gallery at Duke University promotes creative work, while engaging with audiences through the transformative power of the arts. Each summer we turn the gallery into a studio to support artists in their creative experimentation. Residencies are available to an individual artist or group. Artists selected for this residency will have 24/7 access to our 1500-square-foot space located at American Tobacco Campus in Durham, NC, and receive a $750 stipend, paid at the end of the residency.

We are accepting applications for one residency term this coming summer 2020. The residency dates are June 22-July 31, 2020. Unfortunately, housing is not provided at this time.

Artists-in-residence should be willing to engage with the public during open studio hours, and/or event as agreed upon with the PPG, and advance their work during their stay. All questions should be directed to Caitlin Margaret Kelly at powerplantgallery@duke.edu or 919-660-3622.

Deadline: March 15, 2020.
