Alex Glenn Duke Arts Create Instructor

I currently serve as a Research Administration Specialist in the Neurosurgery Grants Department at the Duke University School of Medicine, where I support research initiatives through detailed administrative and grant-related work. Outside of my professional role, I am a creative upcycle fashion designer and seamstress. I specialize in creating custom garments and providing clothing alterations, with a focus on sustainable fashion. I am also the founder of Seed Sewers, a sewing education organization dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills to use sewing machines and create and tailor their own garments. Through my organization I aim to promote fashion sustainability by extending the life cycle of clothing and reducing the dependency on fast fashion. My mission is to foster confidence and enhance mental well-being through the therapeutic and empowering art of sewing.
