About the Workshop
Create a beautiful ceramic dish or wall hanging utilizing ceramic drawing techniques. In this class we will use handbuilding techniques to make a “canvas” for our ceramic pieces. Participants will learn different drawing and painting techniques for adding imagery to clay, and be able to pick up their finished pieces later on.
About the Instructor
Amber graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a degree in 3D fine Arts. She specialized in ceramics, but her second love is fiber arts. She currently works out of her home studio, as well as with some local artists sharing resources. Amber primarily works in handbuilding for both her ceramic sculpture and functional ware, and she uses underglazes to color her pieces. For her fiber art, Amber works mostly in wool, felting and dyeing the material into sculptural, often mixed-media forms.
