Duke students Naflah Mohammed and Jocelyn Morgenstein have captured their first three weeks in Beaufort, NC, as part of the Resilience through Puppetry Team in the Duke Arts program Arts+.
Led by Torry Bend—Professor of the Practice and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Theater Studies—the Resilience through Puppetry team includes three Duke students: Ally Doss, Jocelyn Morgenstein, and Naflah Mohammed. Together, they’re collaborating with the Beaufort community to create puppets that reflect local stories and support the Ready Set Resilience curriculum taught in Carteret County through the end of June. The team is also supported by recent Duke MFA graduate Em Liptow.
