Teresa Dunlap is a Catawba multi-disciplinary artist based in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She specializes in traditional Catawba pottery, basketry, and hand embroidery.

In 2021, Teresa moved to Rock Hill with her family. Within the first few months of moving she was immersed in Catawba culture— attending arts workshops and ultimately accepting a job to coordinate cultural classes for her fellow tribal citizens.

Teresa began to explore traditional Catawba pottery and basketry as she worked with other accomplished artists to hone her skills in these fields, including Caroleen Sanders (Catawba), Nancy Basket, Gabriel Crow (EBCI), and Michelle and Waylon Long (EBCI).

Teresa’s art has been featured at the Arts Council of York County, Cain Center for the Arts, and the Hickory Museum of Art. She is a current ArtPop Cities Program Class of 2025 Artist and one of 21 native artists selected for ATALM’s 2025 Craft Artist Readiness program (NCARP).
