Monet Noelle Marshall

Monet Noelle Marshall (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, director, and cultural strategist whose work spans performance, film, audio, and social practice. Monèt understands her work as a “rehearsal for the relationship,” offering spaces to imagine and practice the world we want.  As the Founding Artistic Director of MOJOAA Performing Arts Company, Monèt has directed transformative works that amplify Black voices, including Escape to Freedom, an immersive exploration of slavery. Her films, such as “prophesy” and “Eat Art”, blend artistry and activism to examine identity, spirituality, and justice.  A recognized leader in the arts, Monèt has received accolades like the Ann Atwater Theater Award and Del Shores Foundation Award for Best Screenplay and collaborated with organizations such as Gucci’s Chime for Change zine. Above it all she is Robin and Bryan’s daughter.
