Described as “a creative force of attention-seizing versatility” by the Washington Post, Brittany J. Green is an active composer, improviser, and installation artist whose work sits at the intersections of sound, text, and image. Her compositions have been performed at festivals and venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, and World Saxophone Congress. Brittany holds degrees in Music Education, Theory, and Composition, including a Ph.D. in Music Composition from Duke University.

A native North Carolinian and avid watcher and listener, Brittany is passionate about connecting thought-provoking art — old and new — to North Carolina audiences and communities through engagement and curatorial work. Brittany joined Duke Arts in May of 2026, developing and presenting engagement collaborations between Duke faculty and students and guest artists across campus, deepening connections between Duke Arts and Duke’s broader campus.
