Bren María Vienrich-Felling (she/her) is a Peruvian-born filmmaker, educator, and multimedia artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University. Bren’s work explores the intersections of ecology, third-culture identities, memory, and material image-making. Her teaching and creative work at Duke has led her to work with the Art, Art History & Visual Studies department, Cinematic Arts, The Nasher Museum of Art, Bass Connections, The Kenan Institute for Ethics and Duke Arts.

Prior to attending Duke for her MFA, she worked as a multimedia producer for over fifteen years, creating educational media, video, animation, illustration, and digital design collateral for clients across higher education, healthcare, technology, nonprofit, retail, SaaS, and eLearning. Outside of Duke, you can find Bren going on hikes wither her partner, friends, and dogs, experimenting with found materials for art and film projects, and collecting old print ephemera.
