Yesenia Martinez-Yanez is a graphic designer and arts marketing communicator from North Carolina. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Appalachian State University, where she developed a love for experimental typography and visual storytelling through book design. Her personal design work takes the form of multimedia collage, often exploring themes that resonate with the imaginative spirit and the young-at-heart.

Yesenia joined Duke Arts in August 2022, following a summer internship at the Nasher Museum of Art. As a Marketing Specialist, she has helped shape Duke Arts’ visual and communications identity by leading design and strategy for social media channels, revamping and formalizing newsletter communications, and developing blog stories—often paired with edited video—that highlight Duke Arts opportunities, programs, and events.

Outside of work, she enjoys strolling through nature, solving jigsaw puzzles, and collecting small trinkets.
