Debora Cordero Martinez, a sophomore at Duke shares her photography series that comments on the targeting of black people in the United States as part of our "Art and Artists are Essential" collection and invitation.

Debora Cordero Martinez is a sophomore studying visual arts and multimedia studies who shares a photography series originally developed for Intro to Digital Photography at Duke. A commentary on the targeting of black people in the United States, this photo series serves as a reminder that “black lives matter, all the time.” View more of her work here.

“I hope everyone is safe and healthy amidst this pandemic,” says Debora. “All bad times come to an end.”
