Campus Center Arts Presents Artist Reception for John Tempest

Join Campus Center Art for a reception celebrating artist John Tempest on Friday, Jan 24, from 5:30-7:30pm in the Bryan Center. Tempest will be installing a large scale painting dedicated to his late father and a portrait.

Painting in His Blood

A reception for artist John Tempest will be held at the Schaefer Mall, located within the Bryan Center, on Friday, Jan 24, from 5:30-7:30pm. Tempest will be installing a large scale painting in the Bryan Center near Reynolds Theater titled Trichometric Universality. The artist dedicated this painting to his father, Gerard F. Tempest. He will also be installing a portrait of Fred Von Canon that was commissioned by his wife, Elizabeth Von Canon, in 1983.

Husidio John Tempest has painting in his blood. Born in 1953 from a long lineage of artists, Husidio John began creating art nearly 40 years ago while spending the summer with his family in Venice, Italy.

The reception, presented by Campus Center Arts, will be catered by Saladelia Café.
