“Music on Main” Free Concerts Return to the Streets at Southpoint in May

The Streets at Southpoint and Duke Arts are excited to announce the return of Music on Main, a free outdoor concert series on The Stage at Southpoint sponsored by Duke Arts. Featuring musical artists carefully selected and booked by Duke Arts, attendees can look forward to an elevated musical experience every Saturday from May 10 through October 4 from 5–8 p.m.

Attendees of all ages are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and picnics from home or takeout from their favorite restaurant at The Streets at Southpoint. Enjoy the mall’s social district, which allows visitors to enjoy alcoholic beverages purchased at participating on-site restaurants/bars while walking around the designated social district.

“Duke Arts is proud to partner with the Streets at Southpoint to provide free performances by exciting local and regional artists. As a resident of South Durham myself, I’m looking forward to taking in the scene!”

John Brown, Vice Provost for the Arts at Duke University

This partnership represents Duke Arts’ commitment to making arts events accessible throughout Durham. Duke Arts has recently provided sponsorship support for Biscuits and Banjos and CenterFest, and is proud to offer two free series as part of the Duke Arts Presents season: Music Near the Gardens on Duke’s East Campus from May 28 – June 25 and Duke Arts at American Tobacco from September 3 – 24.
