Moments of Mindfulness Schedule 2020
Provided through Duke Student Wellness, this program offers the Duke community opportunities to relax, reenergize, and recharge through a variety of wellness experiences within the Student Wellness Center. Moments of Mindfulness promotes the reduction of stress and anxiety while prioritizing self-care and focusing on the present. The events they offer are open to all Duke students, faculty, and staff.
Moments of Mindfulness Arts Offerings
This wellness experience gives you a chance to become a part of an inclusive community while learning or improving upon an artistic skill that promotes wellness through the mindful activity of knitting. All materials are provided and no prior experience necessary!
This group meets every Monday from 6:30pm – 7:20pm in Oasis West, Room 128 of the Student Wellness Center starting January 27, 2020.
This wellness experience gives you a chance to become a part of an inclusive community while learning or improving upon an artistic skill that promotes wellness through the mindful activity of painting while listening to music.
This group meets biweekly on Wednesdays from 5:30pm – 7:20pm in Room 148 of the Student Wellness Center starting January 15, 2020.
Meditative Art is an opportunity to relax and be creative without the pressure of performing. We invite you to practice mindfulness and experience peace by leaving it all on paper. No experience necessary and materials will be provided.
This group meets every Tuesday from 6:30PM-7:20PM in the Student Wellness Center Room 148 starting January 28, 2020.
Relax, restore, and energize your physical and mental well-being by coming together to create rhythm, a universal language that allows us to connect with ourselves and others. Through this experience you will begin to encounter how drumming induces relaxation and feelings of well-being, while releasing stress.
