Music Near The Gardens
T. Gold opens the evening with rooted, indie-folk songs full of gentle strums, sparse percussion, and warm harmonies. Led by Carrboro’s Saman Khoujinian and Gabe Anderson of Sleepy Cat Records, their music is full of sunset-hued songs with a rootsy bent.
Durham-based musician Tre. Charles follows with his original form of alt-soul, blending classic sensibilities with a fresh, introspective sound. With performances at Newport Jazz Festival, TEDx, and NPR, he’s earned praise from artists like Brittany Howard and Son Little. With a new EP, Here We Are., Charles is continuing to carve out his own lane—offering immersive sonic landscapes that reflect both personal healing and collective experience.
Programming Update: Black Belt Eagle Scout is no longer able to perform at this week’s Music Near the Gardens. We’re excited to welcome Tre. Charles to the lineup.
