Presented by Duke Arts Presents
“Falling is a hilarious and sexy solo show about love, lust, and life in a disabled body.”
The Rockwell
“Aaron Pang’s sweet yet sharp one-man show about the mismatch between his erotic desire and physical capability needles the audience’s need for comfortable resolution.”
The Guardian
Aaron Pang walks with a cane, and everyone asks “what happened?” He’s tired of answering and so he wrote a solo show to tell it in one go. One accident, two stories: one you’ve heard a thousand times, one you’ve never heard before.
Falling is an uncomfortably sexy and hilariously vulnerable stumble through Aaron’s misadventures searching for love, lust, and life after disability. Pang is a writer and comedian from Oakland, California whose work blends sincerity and sharp humor to challenge familiar narratives about disabled bodies and relationships.

Comedian
An Oakland, California native, Aaron Pang is a writer, storyteller and comedian telling stories to any one who will listen. A first generation child of Chinese immigrants, a choir boy, a former tech guy, and a disabled person, Aaron hopes his stories will inspire others to embrace their multifaceted identities. He is interested in leading audiences to places they’ve never been. Aaron’s work mixes the sincerity of storytelling, cynicism of stand-up, and the physicality of clown, to create an experience that manipulates and challenges the audience’s understanding of disabled narratives, bodies, and jokes. Aaron received his MFA at the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
