Community Workshop: Open to all – no Duke affiliation required!
Curio is defined as: a rare, unusual, or intriguing object.
The Curio-Lab is an interactive workshop that uses process art and play to provide a space for neurodivergent creatives to explore new ways to expand their creative practice. During the workshop, Free will share the four principles she discovered that shifted her creative practice to something more easeful, enjoyable, and expansive. There will be various exploration stations with objects and prompts that inspire us to create art through play. Then, we will share and swap our art to add new perspective and create something entirely new. Come with a courageous heart and a curious mind. Bring along a rare, unusual, or intriguing object that is a reflection of you or your creativity.
This workshop is programmed in partnership with Duke Arts Presents. All attendees will be offered a complimentary ticket to a performance of Is it Thursday Yet? on November 14-15 in Reynolds Industries Theater.
