At a time of rising antisemitism and deep cultural division, Tony Award-winning actor and activist Ari’el Stachel invites audiences into an exclusive intimate evening of performance, storytelling, and conversation.

This newly created work draws from Ari’el’s own life and experiences, exploring themes that have long informed his work as an artist and advocate.

Through humor, vulnerability, and transformative character work, Ari’el explores Jewish identity, mental health, and belonging as an Arab-Jewish artist navigating multiple worlds.

Written and performed by Stachel, this new work explores his experiences with OCD, assimilation, and the complicated evolution of his Arab-Jewish identity. As a Middle Eastern Jewish teenager in America in the aftermath of 9/11, Ari’el quickly learned that safety often meant silence. He began hiding his father, denying parts of his heritage, and reshaping himself to fit into a culture that increasingly viewed his identity with suspicion. What began as self-protection became performance until it all broke.

The piece also reflects on the aftermath of October 7th, confronting the painful complexity of holding both Arab and Jewish identity in a world increasingly demanding division. The result is a deeply personal, politically urgent, and darkly funny exploration of identity, resilience, and what it means to reclaim wholeness—onstage and off.
