As a part of the Duke Student Arts Initiative, Duke University's Office of the Vice Provost for the Arts is hosting a campus-wide Student Arts Showcase to be held on Friday, Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 7 in the Bryan Center on Duke's West Campus.

This is what's happening -- register here for the dinner, the panels, or the reception:


  • Exhibition of student art works
  • Performances by student musicians and dancers
  • Panels with alumni working in arts, media, and entertainment (pre-registration required)
  • Dinner for students and alumni (FREE, but pre-registration is required)
  • Networking Reception for students and alumni

Thursday, Nov. 5

  • 7:00 pm, Reynolds Theater
    Through the Night, an 80 minute, one-man play by Def Jam poet and Obie Award-winning actor and playwright Daniel Beaty. Free event but tickets are required.

Friday, Nov. 6

  • 2:00 pm, Bryan Center
    Student visual art exhibit
  • 6:00 pm, LSRC Dining Room
    Dinner for students and alumni working in arts, media, and entertainment - FREE for Duke students! (pre-registration required)
  • 8:00 pm, Bryan Center
    Performances by Duke musicians and dancers

Saturday, Nov. 7
